Financial Management:
This course will provide an understanding of the fundamentals of financial management. We will start with the assumption that the goal of financial management is to maximize the value of the company for its shareholders. We will learn and examine various financial tools that help in creating value for a company. This course is aimed at studying the theory and practices of business financial management. Risk and Rates of Return-Calculation and Analysis

This course is very challenging and will command extensive work on your part. All students will be expected to have read the assigned reading and attempted the problems/case study before the lecture. The objective will be to develop and hone a set of skills for understanding financial management, as well as the ability to apply these skills to the management of a company. While lectures will cover the theory and practice of financial management, how much you benefit from the course depends upon the quality of your pre­paration. For this course you will be required to use Microsoft Excel.
