Oracle RAC

The class will focus on Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) for AIX/System p environments with a comprehensive agenda covering: AIX Configuration and setup, Oracle Cluster ware and RDBMS installation, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), General Parallel File System (GPFS), DB creation, Transparent Application Failover (TAF), Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Grid Control and more. The lab exercises are quite intensive and assume a good working knowledge of AIX and previous exposure to Oracle Database environments. Organizations planning a new Oracle RAC on AIX implementation may want to consider sending a System Admin/DBA team where they will have the opportunity to partner on lab exercises.
