This Special Course of Study awarded by the UGC under the Scheme of Innovative Programmes of Teaching and Research in Interdisciplinary & Emerging Areas (TRIEA) offers state of the art training for students and practitioners concerned with conflicts and community development. With conflict situations on the increase at every level of global society, the ability to gain the skills needed to analyze and then manage conflict is widely felt in international arena as well as in community settings. In particular, the development community is exploring the two-way link between community development and conflict as also the relevance of conflict management and problem-solving techniques to carry though their development work. Assisted by highly trained faculty from within & outside the country including Fulbright Scholars, this unique course takes you step-by-step through the process of analyzing & handling conflict situations and provides knowledge and skills that are increasingly sought in today's job market.
