PGD IN PSYCHOTHERAPY & COUNSELLING

Psychology courses investigate the human mind and the ways it influences our actions. Subtopics include forensic psychology, child psychology, behavioral psychology, and psychology research.This program of study focuses on multiple ways of appreciating motivation, perception, emotions, behavior, and coping of individuals, as well as, knowledge of group and organizational behavior, within a given context.Through critical analysis, one-on-one and small case discussions, and creative thinking skills, you will move beyond theory to practice and application of concepts related to understanding of human behavior. In doing so, you will develop strong research, writing, and analytic skills in understanding cognition, emotions, and behaviours. You will also be encouraged to complement your coursework with experiential learning opportunities, such as research, and internships to prepare for a variety of careers in diverse fields such as media, political analysis, film, biology, or for graduate school.
