Course programme

The Retail Plus focus Designed in collaboration with industry professionals and tailored to the modern marketing scenario in India, the Post Graduate Diploma Program in Retail Management and Marketing has evolved with changing times. It is aimed at developing, multi-skilled managerial talent by focusing on developing knowledge and application in the areas of retail, services management & marketing. Our teaching team comprises senior retail professionals, guest speakers from the industry and research and academic experts. Students learn to analyze the methods used to maintain customer loyalty, examine ways in which product presentation influences buyers and investigate the critical factors in inventory control, including the role of technology. The students are exposed to the use of modern methods of analysis and are trained in sophisticated computational skills. In addition to the core retail papers, the course also has papers that form part of a regular MBA Marketing Program allowing and equipping the students to choose other areas in marketing in their careers. The Course curriculum is updated on a regular basis based on industry inputs and academic advances. The students’ evaluation is based on a number of criterion including Class Room Participation, Presentations, Term Papers, other assignments and regular examinations. Students undertake a three-month Industry Internship that brings the concepts taught in class to the work place and allows them to be trained in true business practice. During the third term of the program students again under take a Capstone Project.
