Ph.D. in African Studies

The University of Delhi offers Ph.D. in African Studies course to its students.
It is offered by the Department of African Studies and under the Faculty of ARTS.

Admission to the Ph.D. Course is made at the beginning of each academic term in accordance with the University regulations. Ordinarily only those who have successfully completed the M.Phil. Course in African Studies will be admitted to the Ph.D. Course. Persons who are employed in the University, Government, Diplomatic Missions, public and private sector organizations etc.; who fulfil basic requirements and intend to specialise on Africa are given preference. The scholars are expected to attend seminars in the Department and present papers based on their research findings.
