Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies

The University of Delhi offers Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies course to its students. It is offered by the Department of Buddhist Studies and under the Faculty of ARTS.

The Department of Buddhist Studies offers the research degrees of Ph.D. within Buddhism, the Department offer specializations in six core areas i.e. Buddhist History, Buddhist Philosophy, Pali based Buddhism,Tibetan Language and Buddhism, Classical Chinese Language and Buddhism.

At present the department is focussing on Engaged Buddhism, Environmental Buddhism, Deep Ecology, Bio-Ethics and Animal Rights.
