Ph.D. in Education:Educational Technology
The admission to Ph.D. Programme is open to those students who have either passed NET/SLET/or Entrance Test and have completed M.A./M.Ed. with 55% marks.
The Department presently falls under the Faculty of Education under Board of Studies at B.A., M.A. level stand revised as per NET/SLET syllabi from session 2007 onwards. Likewise, the courses i.e. B.Ed/M.Ed falling under Board of Studies in Teacher Education are also as per UGC Model Curriculum/NET/SLET Courses. The courses are revised after seeking feedback from the stakeholders viz., Principals, non-member college teachers, Students etc.
Skill Development programmes
The department has also undertaken skill devalopment programmes to enhance the students in communicating with the outer world.
The students are trained through the use of multimedia technology and other advanced methods .The training sessions are recorded by using Video and still camera with a purpose to provide the trainee the objective and comprehensive feedback

The conduct of different activities under the ‘PRACTICUM' gives a quality direction to the students. The students are provided the complete set pattern of TEACHING COMPETENCIES.
The experts are invited to interact with the students about latest techniques and procedures in Micro/Macro teaching practices.

The Department holds many activities as per calendar of the University. The huge number of the students in three classes viz., M.A. Education 1st and 2nd year as well as M.Ed. students remain involved assiduously in their studies. The students are trained in writing assignments, appear in class tests etc. The students are made to use library facility and are groomed, sensitized and given practical training in teaching and research through important components of the course viz., dissertation, Practicum and Micro-Teaching.
PRACTICUM
The practicum will comprise of following academic activities to be performed by each student studying in 4th Semester.
1. Mastery of Skills
2. Practice of Teaching
3. Internship
4. Presentation
5. Supervision
6. Viva-voce
All students of M.A. Education and M.Ed. are taken to the schools for giving them practical training in two teaching subjects for an exposure/training in the methods of teaching. The students deliver and practice 20 lessons in each teaching subject.
Computer Practicals
The department has introduced two credit Computer Practicals in II semester course and made them compulsory for all the students pursuing their education at M.A Level.
DISSERTATION WORK
The students of M.A. and M.Ed. nearly 100 in number have to compulsorily undertake and complete Dissertation as a partial fulfillment of the two post-graduate courses every year.
POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS
Each Student of the department is supposed to make Power Point presentation of abstract/summary of the dissertation work done. The presentation shall be evaluated by a Committee to be constituted by HOD before the conduct of viva-voce by the external examiner.
RESEARCH PRACTICALS
A practical of 2 Credit Course has been introduced as a Compulsory Paper in 3rd semester to give pre-Preparatory training to the students essential for dissertation work.
