Ph.D. in Environmental Biology

The University of Delhi offers Ph.D. in Environmental Biology course to its students. It is offered by the Department of Environmental Biology and under the Faculty of SCIENCE.

The Department of Environmental Biology was started in 1991 under the Faculty of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences. The objectives of the Department are:
(i) to offer a two-year M.Sc. Course in Environmental Biology;
(ii) to undertake Research in thrust areas leading to award of Ph.D. degree; and
(iii) to conduct training workshops/seminars particularly with respect to the application of science and technology in solving environmental issues. In December 2000 the Department was shifted from South Campus to Main North Campus under the Faculty of Science.
