Ph.D. in Microbiology

The college offer number of courses, one of the course is Ph.D. in Microbiology. The course is offer under the Department of Microbiology.
The department of microbiology started in the year 1988. The department has well experienced faculty consisting of 5 senior professors, 5 assistant professors along with the support staff consisting of laboratory technicians and laboratory assistants.
The department is actively involved in training the undergraduate students of medicine of SDUMC and B.S.C nursing students of Sri Devaraj Urs nursing college. In 2004, MCI granted permission to start MD course in microbiology and each year one MD student is admitted till date we have 5 MD students of which 2 students have successfully completed the course.
The college is recognized by Medical Council of India (both UG and PG courses), Malaysian Medical Council and listed in W.H.O. directory of world Medical Institutions. The Medical Council of India granted recognition for the Undergraduate Course in its very first Inspection in the year 1992, which shows the commitment of The Trust & Faculty, in imparting Quality Medical Education. Post Graduate Degree Courses and Diploma Courses are being offered since 1997 in various Clinical, Pre and Para Clinical courses and the degrees awarded are recognized by Medical Council of India.The location of this unitary campus with College, Hospital, Hostels and other facilities, is 2500 ft. above the sea level and enjoys salubrious and pleasant weather throughout the year. The campus occupies almost 100 acres of land covered with greenery and is pollution free. All the areas of the campus are well connected and well lit.
