10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent marks in mathematics and physics. (If you don’t have Physics & Maths in 10+2 you have an option of doing these two subjects from National Institute of Open Schooling’s On-Demand Examinations and can still start your Pilot training course.
At least 16 years of age to start pilot training. Vision in one eye must be perfect. (6/6 eyesight) In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.

Students should be 1oth passed with fifty percentages of scores, if the student wants to do flying for their liking or hobbies and for those only the PPL is there. Air regulation
a. Aircrafts Act, 1934 unit I, Part Short titles & extents, meanings, powers to detained aircrafts, penalty for acts in contraventions of regulations complete under the acts, number for flying so as to reason hazard;
b. Aircraft Rule 1937
c. Rule of the air
d. Appropriate air traffics service practice & process.

Aircraft Common Knowledge
a. Principle of operations & function of aeroplane power plant, system & tools
b. Operating limitation of appropriate aeroplanes & power plant, applicable operational
Information from the flight manuals or other appropriate documents
c. Usage & serviceability check of equipments & system of suitable aeroplanes
d. Maintenance dealings for airframe, system & power plant of appropriate aeroplanes

Flight Performances & Planning
1. Result of loading & mass distributions on aeroplane handlings, flight features &
performances, masses & balanced calculation
2. Usage & practical applications of take off, landings & other performances data's
3. Preflight & enroute flight plannings suitables to operation beneath VFR; preparations & filing of air traffics service flight planning, suitable air traffics services dealings, position reportings, process altimeters setting process, operation in regions of high density traffics.

FLYING TRAINING INCLUDES:
The student has to complete two hundred hrs of flight timing previously date of applications for licenses. It involves:

(i) 100 hrs of flight timing as Pilot in Commands.
(ii) 20 hrs of cross country flight timing as Pilot in Commands.
(iii) 10 hours of tool time.
(iv) 5 hours of flight timing by nights.
