Introduction



Piping design & engineering is a key element in various streams of engineering. Piping design helps system designers, mechanical, packaging, and manufacturing engineers to accurately design, route document, and produce complex piping and tubing systems while optimally re-using designs for dramatic time savings and improvements in productivity.A variety of global challenges like corrosion prevention, pipeline maintenance, leak detection in long distance pipelines, pipe coating, concrete coating, bending, welding and deep water services, pipeline cleaning, pipeline operating efficiency etc in itself demands a specialised stream in Piping design and engineering.

A Piping engineer plays an important role in "Concept to Commissioning" in all sectors of process and related industries.
