Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) is an autonomous and not for profit organization, established in the year 1983 with the assistance of apex financial institutions namely IDBI, IFCI, ICICI and SBI. It has successfully completed 25 years of service to the society through entrepreneurship education, research and training.
EDII is working with 162 countries in the globe under India Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and Special Common Wealth Assistance for Africa Programme (SCAAP).
The institute has 25 years of rich experience in entrepreneurship training of different target groups like students, producers, college/ university faculties, NGO and Govt. functionaries etc and therefore it has developed different training packages (modules and materials) for each kind of target groups.

Objectives:
To prepare individual to work as a Management Resource person for the NGO(Development sector).
Qualifying people in social planning and management of development programmes
Manage resources effectively and efficiently by training the functionaries of social Development field.

Special Features and Benefits:
• The course will provide high quality professional training and education at low cost to those who are currently unemployed or underemployed and want to work in this sector but due to absence of any professional background are unable to market themselves well in the job market. Furthermore, SSD will build the capacities of the existing field personals who are earning their livelihoods in this sector but due to the lack of ability to demonstrate professional competence and the lack of
ability to generate value are not able to hold a strong position in their
organizations.
• This part time course will not create any hurdle to the people who are already working in NGOs/other organizations as the classes will be held in weekends only.
• Besides classroom learnings students will be provided with “practical exposure to EDI own field projects in the region and a platform to conceptualize their ideas”.
• EDII will also try to facilitate job placement for fresh graduate students.
Assuring them a job with reputed agencies as well as local organizations.

institutions in the relevance area as well as in-house faculty. This material is scrutinized by the
content experts, supervised by the instructors/unit designers and edited by the language
experts of EDI.
