The PGDM program is offered as a two-year fulltime programme on trimester basis. Each trimester consist of 10 weeks of teaching and industry internship. Project done in each trimester i.e. 2 weeks project in first, second, fourth and fifth trimesters, summer project of 8 weeks in third trimester and a research project at the end of sixth trimester will be evaluated by institute faculty and company guide. The programme is designed to understand basic principles of managing business and providing leadership to organizations.
One of the major problems faced by the management graduate is that they find themselves lacking in domain or functional knowledge required in their career. The focus of the programme would be to bridge this gap via tutorials system.
Trimester system will help the curriculum to include subjects which may not necessarily be possible to cover in semester system. This can be done by altering the credit structures across various subjects. Another reason for trimester is that it helps to create rigor in the programme in the sense that the course has to be delivered at a pace which is higher than that of semester system. It also provides an opportunity for better industry exposure.
The programme will be offered across four functional areas in dual, core and major- minor pattern. Apart from Marketing PGDM will also be provided in:
Ο Finance
Ο Human Resource Management
Ο Information Technology & Operations Management
