Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work(PGDSW)(English)

The Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work (PGDSW) is the first of its kind in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system in India. It has been designed to provide essential know how, skills and professional knowledge for the functionaries involved in social welfare and development sectors in the country. The PGDSW is equivalent to the 1st year of MSW programme of IGNOU. Those interested in pursing MSW can take admission for the same after successfully completing the PGDSW. MSWL-001: Social Work Practicum of 10 credits is designed to provide hands on training to the paraprofessionals.

This programme is of one year duration. The programme consists of the seven compulsory courses including practicum both in English and Hindi.
