MS by Research in Bioinformatics

This is a research driven masters program meant for candidates with an exceptional background in one of the bioinformatics related domains. The duration of the course may extend beyond 2 yrs. Based on the decision of the academic committee, some of the core courses prescribed for the M Tech program may be waived for MS by research students, depending on their background. They must however fulfill the minimum credit requirements for electives and thesis respectively.The students from BTech (CSE)/MSc (Maths) may take Computer Science/Maths as subject paper, while the students from the Sciences background will have CNSB as subject paper which comprises of three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Biology + Bioinformatics, and students, depending on their background are expected to attend any one Section as a major and another section as a minor part. The questions will be multiple-choice.
