Rukmini Devi Lalit Kala Kendra, an esteemed institution in North-West Delhi, providing quality training and education in the arena of cultural heritage. Established in 1987, under the aegis of Seth Pokharmal Educational Society, the Kala Kendra is dedicated and indebted towards achieving a cultured society.
The art and culture holds a significant place in the development & moulding a complete human being. The prime purpose of the Kendra is to provide:-
Advanced training in Arts & Culture;
Arrange seminars, symposia, workshops, lecture-demonstrations and co-related activities;
Performance based training to the students in the field of Art & Culture;
Restore and inculcate the traditional system of Guru-Shishya Parampara;
Over the years Rukmini Devi Lalit Kala Kendra has been holding cultural events every two years.
Prominent artists from the field of Art & Culture have performed during the biennial events of the kendra. Artists like Sitar Maestro Pt. Debu Chaudhuri , Kathak Dance Exponent Pandit Rajendra Gangani, Bharatnatyan Danseuse Smt. Geeta Chandran ,Classical Vocalist Pt Bhola Nath MIshra, Sitar Maestro Biswajeet Sarkar and many other have given their performance on stage and are the patrons of the kendra.
