The University of Mumbai offers SHORT-TERM CERTIFICATE COURSE IN GERMAN (Part Time to its students.


This course is an intensive course offered only to groups of a particular firm or institution, provided there are minimum 15 candidates. The main aim of this course is to introduce elementary knowledge of the language, its grammar and phonetics. Both oral and written communication skills in basic German shall be imparted.


The course aims to impart quality education in all fields: German language, literature, culture, translation & intercultural studies. The academic curriculum of advanced courses is supplemented by numerous seminars on literature, intercultural hermeneutics, linguistics, translation, philosophy, aesthetics etc.
