Description
In recognition of the contribution to technical and professional education the University Grant Commission declared SOA as a University U/S 3 of UGC Act 1956 in 2007. Ever since its inception in 1996-97 all schools, now under Siksha O Anusandhan University have shown an impressive progress in terms of knowledge skills, human resources and material resources. The university is strategically located in the city, accessible within minutes from the Railway Station, Airport, State Secretariat. Each school has its own campus that blends environment friendly architecture and greenery. The objective of the university is to promote professional education, research, training and development in engineering, management, computer and medical sciences so as to cater to the need of engineering, software and hardware, medical and managerial personnel in the country. Under the banner of the university there are eight institutions at present.
