Microphones-study of microphones-Directional characteristics of microphones-Omni directional, Bidirectional - unidirectional microphones - Polar patterns – Super and Hyper Cardioid-Ultra directional - Dual pattern microphones - Microphones impedance - Micro phone sensitivity. Microphone leveling and distance, Dynamic Microphone and Tube Microphone. 4. Audio Amplifiers. Transistor based amplifiers and Vacuum tube (valve) amplifiers. 5. Network theory-Dividing networks - combining net works used in recording mixers. Attenuators-various types of Attenuators - Equalizers fixed - variable and graphic equalizer - parametric equalizers High pass filter low pass filter- Band repass filter, Design of fixed attenuation pad. 6. Mixers, Analog and Digital, the difference, Digital Mixing Console: Connections, Optical Fiber, Layers, Faders, gains, Scenes, DIO/Setup, MIDI, Utility, Insert/Delay, Pan Routing, Pair/Group, Patch, Dynamics, EQ, Effects, Libraries, View, Auxiliary Input and Outputs, Phantom Volts, Stereo and Mono. 7. Recording with Software, Nuendo, Cubase SX, Reason, Plug-ins, and VST Instruments. Multi track recording, Punch in recording, Multi take recording, MIDI settings, MIDI Synchronization.
