As a graduate I applied to the Erasmus Mundus Master's Program in Data Mining and Knowledge Management (DMKM) for the fundamental study of Data Mining and related aspects such as Data Analysis, Machine Learning and Statistical Modeling. Not only it was the curriculum attractive for me, but the general idea of the Erasmus Mundus programme of cultural exchange trough mobility and academic cooperation is also appealing. Upon finishing the program I plan to pursue PhD and combine professional and teaching activities. The qualification obtained through the studies will allow me to easily enroll in any doctoral program, and I am specifically interested in researches conducted by Université Libre de Bruxelles and Poznán University of Technology. Teaching is also important for me, because besides building my career I am enthusiastic about sharing my experience and knowledge with others.

Soon, after the examination of my thesis in front of the international jury on the 16th of June 2007 in Muséum Nationale d’Histoire Naturelle (France), I had an opportunity to enroll in the office of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Indonesia to UNESCO. Since then, I have been an assistant to the Ambassador of the Indonesian Delegation to UNESCO, and I also have been a student in the doctoral degree at MNHN. There are contrasts but I found the interface for myself. From the substantive matters as well as administrative and secretariat matters in my office, I have the opportunity to learn what happened with a big dream like UNESCO: a dynamic of multilateral cooperation, substantive matters in cultural sector and world heritage management, having the opportunity to meet with the decision makers from my country in the office (they are the bureaucrats and the legislators) and learn to use different working languages and office tools (informatics, archiving). For my studies, my working group in MNHN has understood that my days were busy with administrative matters but by all means we were working together for our scientific matters and net

I am originally from Orléans Canada – a suburb of the Nation’s Capital: Ottawa. I have two major career goals for my life: (1) to become a university professor/researcher and (2) to become the superintendent of one of Canada’s beautiful National Parks. I started my student career at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario. I spent three years in Lindsay graduating as an Ecosystem Management Technician and as a Parks and Forest Recreation Management Technician. Following this, I spent a fourth year in Fleming at their Haliburton, Ontario campus and got a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Adventure Tourism Management. Knowing full-well that this would not be it for me as a student I then applied to the Faculty of Forestry and the Forest Environment at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. During my studies at Lakehead University I took some Finnish language courses and decided that I should put them to good use by going on exchange there.
I came to the Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in European Forestry to build on the relationships which I had started during an exchange visit as a Bachelor student in 2006. Ever since my f

The EMFOL MSc in Animal-Derived Foods met my expectations of a world-class academic programme. My professors are basically the authors of some of the books and journal articles that I have based my previous and current research on. Further, they are very approachable and motivating, especially in pursuing deeper knowledge and experience in food science. Lastly the international student department is highly efficient and reliable. You are assured that you are well taken care of.

The exceptional experience with international students, with varying cultures and traditions, was for me one of the richest experience in my academic career, not only academically but also personally. Having the opportunity to transmit my experience about laboratory accreditation, the day-to-day contact established by students they have proven to be a group of outstanding persons, was amazing!

My name is Andrea and I was an AFEPA student from 2010-2012 so I´m the first generation graduate. I was born in Slovakia. After Bachelor studies at the Slovak University of Agriculture (Nitra, Slovakia), I decided to apply for AFEPA. My destinations were Uppsala and Budapest. ¿What's the best? Firstly, the friendship and cultural sharing. I met some great people during those two years and they made my life special. In fact, they also changed me. Everything passed so quickly and now (six months after everything is over) my mind is pulsing with a strange feeling of nostalgia. Secondly, the professional background. I found out in which direction I want to lead my life and what I want to do. I got a real passion for rural development issues, specially related to the Central European region from where I come from and where I was born. Thirdly, the independence and personal development. I’ve learnt to COOK! I’ve learnt to manage my monthly budget and I’ve learnt to take care of myself hundreds/thousands kilometers away from home.
