Description

Sri Aurobindo Society is an international non-governmental organization recognised by the Government of India as a charitable and research institute. It was founded in 1960 by The Mother to spread the aims and ideals of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother and work for its fulfillment in all possible ways. It also propagates their system of integral yoga, and works for the realization of a spiritual society as envisioned by Sri Aurobindo.
The aim of the Society is to transform the whole of life and therefore nothing is excluded from its comprehensive programme. Each aspect of human life is to be raised to its highest possibility under the direct touch and guidance of a higher consciousness by invoking it in all our endeavours. This dynamic application of spirituality to life is reflected in its motto: To know is good, to live is better, to be, that is perfect.
