Aim of this course:
This course gives a detailed training of the UNIX OS internal features and their mode of working. The course explains the data structure, their relationships and the main algorithms that is used for System administration, processes, system-calls, interrupts & exceptions, virtual memory & file systems.
The programme gives theory in practical context with in depth explanations of common Unix programs such as who, Is, pwd, sh, and httpd. Every example does start with an account of what are the functions of program and how does people use it. From there, the course describes the fundamental rules and mechanism, and then uses those ways to write a description of the program.
What does it teach?
This course gives an introduction of the UNIX OS. It also details about UNIX system programming tools and UNIX internal. It puts an emphasis on how to do the things in UNIX.
Course structure
Part- one
UNIX atmosphere, The UNIX shells, Important functions of UNIX, C programming tools, Networking Utilities ,System programming system calls, files, processes, sockets and pipes ,Overview of Operating system Internals: kernel, inodes, files & processes .
On completing this course, students will be trained enough to describe the way the below mentioned component is implemented: Memory administration ,Process administration, System calls ,Interrupt & exception, Virutal memory ,File systemsetc.

Requirements:
Educational qualification
- B.E, B.Tech, B.I.T, M.I.T, B.C.A, B.S.C, M.S.C, P.G.D.C.A, M.S, M.Tech, M.C.A and P.H.D. Students should have at least of one year of programming experience, trainig of general purpose OS concept & computer architecture concept.
Mode of teaching:
Classroom Sessions, on PowerPoint slides, discussion, Questions and Answers. All students will also be given a detailed course material especially prepared by this esteemed institute
Mode:
Regular: Monday - Friday, 2 Hours every day.
Parttime: Weekends, 4 Hours on Saturday and Sunday
Online: Available 24 hrs a day
