WaterDance which is also known as WATA & Wasser Tanzen is a energetic action therapy which is performed inside or outside the water. It was originated in 1987 by Peter Schröter & Arjana C. Brunschwiler.
The practitioners follow the breathing of the receiver, who signals manually prior to every submerge. The partner puts a nose clip and is supervised into the insubstantial, 3 dimensionality of the world under the water. Stretches, extensions, flexions, dolphin type of actions and rhythms like snake it releases not only on the physically, but also allows the indepth states of relaxing & meditation to be experienced, many times even going back to the memories of the womb. The dive reflex puts the breath in action and the heart rate gets slow down.
It is a deep therapy, in which time & space lose their value. Life of human being becomes a flow. Weakening often happens and in it wounds from the history can be effortlessly put into process. Water Dance gives us, on one hand, a strong & powerful healing instrument, and on the other hand, a form of energy work & bodywork. Play, surrender, flow & harmony all combines in a new way in the warm water.
