The development of electrical engineering is playing vital role in producing scientist and technologist of highest caliber . The department runs undergraduate program to ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of electrical engineering such as power system and power electronics.

In addition to strong undergraduate programme, the department is playing a pioneer role in the field of lab facilities, which are upgraded from time to time and provide opportunities for students to learn and innovate.

The department offers B.Tech in electrical engineering. The department is well supported with infrastructure and research resource through various sponsoring agencies and some industries.

Faculty are encouraged to take independent initiatives with collective responsibility in all the relevant academic teaching, curriculum development, graduate research, supervision, R & D continuing education or organization etc. They have ample prude to associate as members of team with other facility.

Activities

An active IEEE students' branch organizes lectures on the latest trends in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, delivered by eminent personalities in the field. ‘GRID' an All India Inter Collegiate Technical Symposium, where budding engineers brings forth innovative ideas in the vast and evergreen field of Electrical Engineering. ‘UNPLUGGED'- A Technical Magazine to keep the students on par with the emerging trends in the technical area. Regular industrial visits to gain practical experience. Active technical discussions among students to share their views. Active participation in national conferences and state-wise symposiums.
