Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management

Tourism, the latest taxonomy of the word 'Travel', has achieved a new importance on the globe business & has the freedom of becoming the sole field showing constant development even in recession time. All developed nations of the world are paying attention to tourism & it has turn out to be a global field. 4 century back, tourism was thought as a small economic threat, but these days it has developed to an field of chief social & economic importance. Tourism is beneficial in economical aspect also as it is an unseen export, which calls world wide exchange &
employments with it. It is a multi million dollar field, the 2nd biggest field after oil & the biggest sole employer on the globe. Tourism fetches the much-required foreign exchange & the field requires professional to hold the overseas tourist coming the nation.


Seeing the great requirement of professional in this field, College has launched Tourism & Hotel Management as an add on program to train the student with the much required concept on the Indian tradition, technique of travel administration, tourism administrations, publicities, & hotel administration. It also involves module of French or Russian or Hindi or Speaking Eng. etc. in the program syllabus.


The Post Graduation department of History, Economics & Malayalam collaborates in doing this program. The program syllabus is planned with giving importance on cultural tourism & ecological tourism fields.
