This training is focused on creating awareness and advance knowledge on issues on ethics and social responsibility. Training participants will learn about a broad range of social responsibility factors that are tied to sustainability and environmental concerns. Environmental issues are tied to the organizational culture and managing risk through an authentic approach to developing and implementing sustainability across all departments, suppliers, and subcontractors is discussed. Concise online sustainability training courses on a variety of different topics - with action steps to actually plan for sustainability, directives to manage waste and what can be recycled, providing accountability for corporations and government agencies. Each train-ing topic is presented in a small group (2-6) of 15-minute modules, meaning it's easy to fit green e-learning into even the busiest workday schedule. The Sustainability Education Series bears the approval of The U.S. Green Building Council /Green Building Certification Institute. Therefore, these On-line courses in the Sustainability Education series can be used by LEED Professionals towards receiving Continuing Education credits. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a system used to rate buildings, homes and neighbourhoods on their 'green' construction, performance. This training introduces a broad range of social responsibility factors that are tied to sustainability and environmental concerns. Environmental issues are tied to the organizational culture and managing risk through an authentic approach to developing and implementing sustainability across all departments, suppliers, and subcontractors. At the conclusion of this series and successful completion of the post-module tests, the student will be able to:
• Define social responsibility and its benefits to those companies who practice social responsibility.
• Describe transparency as it pertains to the development and implementation of sustainability plans.
• Identify the different types of renewal energies.
• Identify steps that aid in the development of green policies.
