Course in Drilling & Well Service Technology

The DWST Level 1 Course is done in a 4 month period. The study is based on the foundations of Mathematics and Physics competency that is needed for different drilling and well service subjects such as; well control, geology, drilling technology, petroleum technology, drilling mud, production, completion, etc. It is also important for the candidates to gain the competency in verbal communication and technical English commensurate with the safety culture and the working environment on the drilling rig.

The DWST education is distinctive in its emphasis on practical knowledge and skills. Apart from the traditional training in drilling subjects, the drilling operation requires that the candidates be skilled in using onboard workshops and tools for simple repairs and handling special tools in the drilling operation.

The DWST education is unique and the candidates completing this basic drilling course will be trained to immediately start working on the drilling rig. Compared with candidates without such basic drilling education, personnel trained through DWST Program would make a much faster career progression and will be much sought after for permanent employment by the drilling companies.

In addition to the drilling subjects the 4 month course is also providing the candidates with different Safety Training Certificates that are required to work on a rig.
