1. Introduction to basic elements of design.

c) Planes - Exercises on lines to define planes

2. Two dimensional design: Compositions based on
Principals of Design.
3. Basic geometrical forms (single units)
Exercises in development of 3-D forms through
model making.
Rendering surfaces in different colours and mediums.
4. Design Composition using more than one 3-D form
Stability and balance. Relationships and arrangements.
5. Theory of colours-Primary, secondary, tertiary
Skills and tones, Development of colour sense.
6. Study of elements of environmental design.
Forms, Textures, Patterns, Light, Scale, proportion and
