ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR – OPERATIONAL LEVEL

ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR - OPERATIONAL LEVEL is a three days program & is recognized by the Indian Administration.
Target
Trainings are organized by a trainer & permit the apprentices to be acquainted with the instruments, the control & the arrangement offered by the simulators. The program trainsone to look after common engine room guard maintaining, look after the parameter of the plants, recognize fallacious situation & repair small fault. In case of most important fault senior engineer will be called for.
The training makes the apprentices acquainted with the engine room layouts, various instruments & link between different instruments & its reply to the deviations made at the control in different condition. The concluding training deals with troubleshoot & exploit the knowledge & skill acquired in all the earlier trainings. Instrument failures & malfunctioning may be presented during a training to give apprentices rehearsal in taking crisis remedial actions.
Syllabus:
The program is mainly practical & consist of a sequences of trainings done on a ship-engine simulators. Classroom lecture plus essential theoretical backgrounds for the training, are also covered in this program.
During training, apprentices are anticipated to make use of actual engine room process, to comply with secured working practice in keeping an engineering watches, as predicted in Regulation 11/1 of the S.T.C.W. 1978. They will undertake the diverse characters of the engine room watch keeping teams, the parts being shifted to permit each apprentice a chance to perform as senior engineer & watch keeping assistants for a few trainings
Qualification
Engineer with Class IV( Part A) & six months sea services of which one hundred and twenty days are driving times.
