Course programme

The mission of the course of Computer Application is to impart high quality Graduate and Post Graduate Education and carry out leading-edge research in the discipline of Computer Science, Information Technology and Information Systems... especially Geographic Information Systems. The department currently takes care of five academic programs leading to the award of BCA, B.Sc. (I.T.)PGDCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc (Information Technology), and MCA degrees. The Department has well equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art computing facilities to support the research and teaching activities.

The course of Computer Applications, cherish the vision of providing comprehensive solutions to enable people of India to enhance their quality of life using information technology for Information Resource Management, and world wide sharing of Informational Resource.
The department admits 20 candidates in PGDCA course. The distribution of the 20 seats as per prescribed percentage of reservation is SC-3, ST-2, OBC-4, PH-1 and University Ward-1.

Seats mentioned against above named each reserved category would be filled up on the basis of combined merit list prepared for that category irrespective of graduation faculty.

Nine general category seats shall be filled up as faculty of Arts-3, faculty of Science-3 & faculty of Commerce-3.

Separate merit lists shall be prepared for each faculty and admission shall be made strictly on the basis of merit in respective faculty candidates.

After the equal distribution in general category among these faculties the remaining seats as to be filled in the following order of preference Arts, Science and Commerce faculty.
