The objective of the programme is to impart specific knowledge of Mathematical techniques that have ready applications in Industrial and Business problems and to prepare students for taking up employment and or relevant research in the field of Industrial Mathematics.

The course content includes Operations Research, Advanced Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Advanced Optimization, Reliability Theory and Statistical Quality Control, Simulation, Applied Functional Analysis, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, Software Engineering, Finite Element Methods, Applied Systems Theory and Fluid Dynamics.

Besides the above, students have to undergo summer training, laboratory work and undertake one major project.
