Course programme

The programme is meant for the MBBS doctors who have Completed their compulsory rotating internship before the beginning of the respective academic session. It is a one year comprehensive package comprising of Reproductive Health, Child Health and Public Health components of MCH. Though the present approach is to integrate all the above three components together, there have been no practical steps in this regard. The School of Health Sciences, IGNOU has taken a pioneer step in designing a curriculum by integrating the above essential components of MCH Care and providing a PG Diploma in the form of continuing medical education so that not only the doctors, both in private and government sector get an opportunity to update their knowledge and skill, but also the MCH care in the country including that of the peripheral health institutions gets improved.
