Course programme

Admission to S I Course directly - Graduates from any stream (excluding Fine Arts, Music, Classical Dance, Languages) / 12th Std. pass with Science subject / Diploma holders in Engineering / 2 year technical course after 10th Std. pass shall be directly admitted to the Sanitary Inspectors' Diploma course of one year duration. Selection of the candidates for admission shall be done on the basis of merit with preference to higher qualification.

OR

Admission to Pre-S I Foundation Course:
Candidates with 10th Std. pass with English languages as one of the subjects shall be admitted to the Sanitary Inspectors' Diploma course subject to the condition that such candidates shall undergo additional training programme known as Pre S I Foundation Course of 6 months duration to prepare them for the Sanitary Inspectors' Diploma Course. Candidates successfully completing Pre SI Course or with ATKT status in Pre SI Course, shall be eligible for admission to the Sanitary Inspectors' Diploma course.

Objectives &Course content:

To impart technical training supplemented by practical training programme to candidates aspiring to join Health and Sanitation Departments of Municipal Bodies, District Councils, Railways, Five Star Hotels, Food and Drugs Administration, Airports or similar services in other organizations. To deal with Health and Sanitation problems including preventive health, family welfare, environmental conditions etc.
