Every company has its own setup, security policies, network infrastructure, and IT management team. Based on your preferences, infrastructure, and in-house capabilities, you can opt for an On-Demand (hosted) version of UpsideAssess, our online assessment solution, or an On-Site (behind-the-firewall) implementation.



UpsideAssess comes with the same set of features in both On-Demand and On-Site options; the final solution implemented may vary only in terms of the customizations and the integrations required on a case-to-case basis.



Our team is always ready to assist you in evaluating both the options and deciding upon the one that is best suited to your requirements.

If your organization has a strict policy of not using hosted services then you have to opt for the On-Site option. In case your organization's policy is flexible, then On-Demand deployment is also possible.

If there is a requirement to integrate UpsideAssess with other internal systems and some of these systems cannot communicate over the Internet (or are not allowed to), then you will need to go in for an On-Site deployment.

Hosting and managing an Assessment System On-Site demands a very robust setup and a professional IT team to maintain the system and support users, especially if the number of assessments can be very high. If your company has the internal capabilities to source server hardware and software, and set up the right team for both maintenance and support, then UpsideAssess On-Site is an option to consider.



In the absence of such ready capabilities, providing uninterrupted usage and quick responses to support users may become difficult, leading to a poor user experience. Alternatively you could use Upside Learning's professional services which will provide you on-site maintenance and support teams.



There are several other factors that need to be looked at and evaluated closely while making your decision. These include review of internal IT management capabilities, hardware sourcing cost and availability, and the cost and challenges of keeping an internal support team ready for providing the required support.
