PGDM in Operations Management

Scope and Objective:
Operation management covers management components involved in the entire gamut of processes involved in converting the basic inputs into products useful to the ultimate consumer. The products could be physical products such as consumer goods or industrial goods as also intangible products such as services and software. Efficient operations and continuous up gradation are essential for survival in the highly competitive global environment. The course in Operations Management would lead the student through the various managerial inputs required to ensure efficient functioning and interfacing of the different components in the chain of value conversion.

Highlights of the Specialisation:
The program aims to integrate the various aspects of input output continuum ranging from planning, procurement, plant/ process operations of the value conversion chain till the final turnout of the products to reach the consumers in the most economic manner in the process the students would be exposed to the various tools and techniques, backed up by industry visits and in-house experimentation through group work, quality circles etc.
